Preliminary Testing Data & Case Studies - Speech Pathology:

Many clinicians and patients report functional improvements in voice and articulation and improved swallowing even when RBT with the Breather was the only remaining therapy being practiced.

Preliminary Data:

N=14 (10 CVAs, 3 Parkinson's Dz, 1 TBI)

Liquid Consistencies: 4=Thin, 3=Nectar, 2=Honey, 1=Pudding

Each patient received: Initial bedside exam & fiberoptic endoscopic evaluation of swallowing (FEES), and Dysphagia Therapy. There were follow up FEES before discharge. The 3 month maintenance program consisted only of RBT.

Bedside exam and FEES after 3 month maintenance program concluded. . . Findings: All 14 patients showed any improvement of at least one variance point after the 3 month maintenance program with RBT.
